Act as the manufacturing expert during new product introductions and engineering projects.
Evaluate Requests for Quotation (RFQs) from a manufacturing perspective.
Design, develop and implement efficient production and manufacturing processes.
Perform Design for Manufacturing (DfM) and manufacturability reviews.
Collaborate closely with Product Engineering, Production, Supply Chain and Quality teams.
Represent Manufacturing Engineering in Change Control Boards (CCB) and project teams.
Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, including PFMEA, Control Plans and M-BOMs.
Develop production layouts using Value Stream Mapping and material flow analysis.
Estimate production resources, manufacturing capacity and shop floor requirements.
Monitor and improve production efficiency, quality and delivery performance.
Lead Continuous Improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and structured problem-solving methodologies.
Analyze production issues and provide third-line technical support for complex manufacturing challenges.
Drive process optimization projects to improve quality, efficiency, safety and operational performance.
Monitor departmental KPIs and initiate corrective actions where required.

Functie-eisen

Bachelor's degree (HBO) or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related engineering discipline.
At least 7 years of experience as a Manufacturing Engineer or similar position within a high-tech manufacturing environment.
Experience with complex assembly processes and precision manufacturing.
Strong knowledge of New Product Introduction (NPI) and Design for Manufacturing (DfM).
Experience with manufacturing documentation such as PFMEA, Control Plans and Manufacturing Bills of Materials (M-BOM).
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Experience with Value Stream Mapping (VSM) and process optimization techniques.
Green Belt or Black Belt Lean Six Sigma certification is considered an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with multidisciplinary project teams.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
