At our Filton site in Bristol, we specialise in the design and manufacture of large complex structural wing assemblies, detailed metallic components and wing systems for a combination of both civil and military aircraft.
We are seeking a new Semi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our friendly team who work effectively and efficiently across our Filton site on process, plant and CNC machines.
As well as identifying/rectifying compressed air leaks throughout the factory, you will assist with our planned maintenance schedule and response to breakdowns.
This is a full-time, permanent position working 35 hours per week (07:00am - 15:00pm Monday - Thursday with a half day on Friday)
How You'll Contribute

Voor een technisch sterk installatiebedrijf zoeken wij een Service Elektromonteur die zelfstandig storingen kan analyseren en oplossen binnen de utiliteit. Je werkt aan bestaande installaties bij klanten door heel Nederland.
Geen nieuwbouwprojecten. Geen standaard seriewerk.
Wel installaties die dagelijks gebruikt worden en dus moeten blijven functioneren.

Du kommer att arbeta med hållfasthetsanalyser på militära motorer och motorkomponenter samt rymdkomponenter med både kommersiella och egenutvecklade verktyg. På GKN kommer du att arbeta med allt från konceptanalyser för framtidens militära motorsystem och rymdkomponenter till underhållsfrågor för dagens flyg- och rymdmotorer. Dessutom utvecklar vi kontinuerligt våra metoder, teknologier och verktyg, där du kan göra en viktig insats. Som beräkningsingenjör kommer du att arbeta i tvärfunktionella team där du har kunskapen och ansvaret för mekanisk livslängd och hållfasthet.
Arbetsuppgifter
Utföra, dokumentera och presentera livslängds- och hållfasthetsanalyser av motorsystem samt motor- och rymdkomponenter Dimensionering och verifiering av komponenter med hjälp av FE-analys, tex stabilitet & styrka, utmattning, sprickinitiering & propagering, dynamiska analyser, med hjälp av kommersiella programvaror (ANSYS) och egenutvecklade verktyg. Utveckla våra analysmetoder våra teknologier samt utveckla och implementera Matlab- & Python-script för att ständigt förbättra våra analysprocesser Bidra till utvecklingen av GKN som ett "Great Place to Work" i linje med GKN's kulturprinciper; Säkerhet, Innovation, Öppen & Ärlig, Omtanke & Respekt samt ÄgarskapKvalifikationer
Masterexamen inom flyg, teknisk fysik, maskinteknik eller annan relevant ingenjörsutbildning, med inriktning mot hållfasthet
• Goda kunskaper och erfarenheter i verktygen ANSYS Workbench och ANSYS Mechanical (APDL)
• Svenska och Engelska i tal och skrift
Meriterande
• Arbetslivserfarenhet inom hållfasthetsanalyser från relevant industri och/eller akademi
• Goda kunskaper i programmering och scriptning (Python, Matlab etc)
• Goda kunskaper i verktyget NASGRO
• Kunskaper i tillverkningsprocesser
• Kunskaper kring materialegenskaper

As a Business Relationship Manager (BRM), you play a pivotal role at the intersection of business and IT, ensuring that technology truly enables and accelerates business objectives. You act as a strategic partner to senior stakeholders, translating business needs into effective IT solutions and vice versa. By building strong, trust-based relationships, you gain a deep understanding of the challenges, ambitions, and priorities within your assigned business domains.
In this role, you do not only respond to demand, but actively shape it. You anticipate future needs, identify opportunities for innovation and digital transformation, and guide the business in leveraging IT capabilities to create tangible value. You bring visibility into IT’s potential, making complex topics understandable and actionable for non-technical stakeholders.
You are instrumental in aligning business strategy with IT strategy, ensuring that initiatives are prioritized effectively and delivered in a controlled and value-driven manner. From early ideation and business case development through to implementation and value realization, you are closely involved in key initiatives and decisions.

Your responsibilities Business Relationship Manager
- Act as the primary interface between IT and assigned business domains, building strong and trusted relationships with key stakeholders.
- Co-develop and actively promote the IT vision, including relevant trends, innovations, and developments within the business.
- Provide strategic and tactical advice on IT-related topics and business initiatives.
- Facilitate the preparation, evaluation, and governance of business cases and IT demand.
- Translate business needs into IT requirements and contribute to an optimal project and application portfolio roadmap.
- Develop and maintain business IT plans and oversee their successful implementation.
- Monitor progress of initiatives, proactively addressing deviations from plans where needed.
- Ensure effective communication to stakeholders on priorities, progress, risks, budgets, and compliance.
- Advocate for the business within IT to ensure services and solutions meet expectations and deliver value.
- Drive value realization from IT investments and promote continuous improvement.
- Ensure compliance with relevant SHE-Q policies and standards.
Your qualities and experience
You are a proactive, strategic thinker with strong stakeholder management skills and a solid understanding of both business processes and IT landscapes.
You also have:
- A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a Business Relationship Manager, IT Business Partner, or similar role.
- Strong understanding of IT strategy, demand management, and project/portfolio management.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at different levels.
- Experience with governance processes and business case development.
